“You can work WONDERS!”
Total todate: $17,206.43
“The services provided by ShareLife agencies are
critical to those who rely on them – they are lifesaving
and life-restoring. Families are working through crises
and are healing. Refugees and new Canadians are
guided toward a stable, productive livelihood in their
newfound home. Seniors are living independently, with
access to the care and services they need. People with
developmental challenges are supported as they
experience a sense of self-worth and fulfillment in their
daily activities. Sometimes the results are obvious and
sometimes they’re invisible but, always, they’re
tangible. “

Needs of the Holy Land – Good Friday
Good Friday Collection: Needs of the Holy Land. The
mission of the “Commissariat of the Holy Land” is to
help the Christian communities of the Holy Land and is
made possible with the generosity of all the Catholics
in Canada. Each year your support sustains apostolic
and social works and the upkeep of the Holy Sites we
as Catholics hold so dear. In the words of His Holiness
Pope Benedict XVI “The Church of the Holy Land,
which so often experienced the dark mystery of
Date
Golgotha, must never cease to be an intrepid herald of
the luminous message of hope which this empty tomb
proclaims.” For us too, we can bring this message of
hope and light to others! We can also be pilgrims of
peace! Please support those that live this challenge on
or behalf.

Catholic Education Week –
May 1 – 6, 2011 – “Celebrating the Spirit”
Our publicly funded Catholic schools invite
parishioners to join them in celebrating Catholic
Education Week 2011, which runs from May 1-6.
During this week. the Catholic community celebrates
the distinctive contributions that Catholic schools make
to our students, our community, to our society and to
the province at large. Catholic education continues to
integrate Gospel values into every aspect of the
school’s life and curriculum.
During this week, schools will be celebrating
the gift of Catholic Education with special prayers and
presentations. We ask that the Parish continue to pray
for our Catholic schools, that they may be enlivened by
God’s Spirit and help in the sacred work of “renewing
the face of the earth.” (Ps 104:30)

Week or to find your local school board, visit

NATIONAL MARCH FOR LIFE
THURSDAY, MAY 12
On May 14, 1969 our government struck down the
existing abortion law. 41 years later Canada still
has no law restricting abortion. Every year
thousands of Canadians gather on Parliament Hill
for a peaceful rally to bring attention to the most
profound human right in our society today. Please
join us this year at the March for Life, with our
Bishops, to show our government that the unborn
child must be protected. Theme this year is
“Abortion Kills a Human Being”.
For more information about March for Life, call
Marilyn Brown 905-457-3786.
