February 20, 2011. Participants for the
competition will be chosen through contests held in their

FEAST DAY REVIEW/PLANNING MEETING

MASS AT PEEL MANOR
There will be a Mass for the residents of Peel
Manor on Tuesday, December 14th at 10:30 a.m.
Volunteers with an existing Police Record Search
through St. Anne’s Church are required to help.
THE EDGE NEWS
The EDGE are asking for your assistance in
helping those in our community who cannot
afford to buy “Hygiene Products”. Please
donate toiletry items for males and females to
the box in the lobby.
THE EDGE Christmas Pageant
The EDGE youth Ministry would like to extend an
invitation to all parishioners, families, friends, and
relatives to attend our EDGE Christmas Pageant.
This event will help our church community in working
together to build up the kingdom of God in using and
sharing the gifts and talents God has given us.
Baked goods and items will be for sale for all those last
minute Christmas shoppers to purchase. All proceeds
will go towards the EDGE youth ministry. Please come
and share in this fun, exciting and memorable night.
On Friday, December 17, 2010 following the 7:00 p.m.
mass in the Church.
Thank you for your
encouragement and bringing our young people closer
to Christ. Donated baked goods may be dropped off
prior to December 17th.
The EDGE is designed to meet the catechetical,
educational, spiritual, emotional and social needs
of young adolescents in grades 6, 7 and 8.

PREPARE WITH PRAYER
The season of Advent provides us the opportunity
to ponder the mystery of God among us in the
person of Jesus Christ. You are invited to take
part in an Advent prayer time as a preparation for
Christmas.

Offertory Envelopes for 2011
These envelopes are available in the Stephenson room
for pickup. Please take note of the label on your
current box of envelopes for the last name as they will
once again be in alphabetical order. An example

WIN GREAT PRIZES!
It is time once again for the Friar’s Student Writing Award.
Students aged 14-18 are invited to write a five hundred-word
essay on the theme for the Week of Prayer for Christian
Unity, celebrated January 23-30, 2011. The theme for this
coming year is “One in the Apostles’ Teaching, Fellowship,
Breaking of Bread and Prayer.” (cf. Acts 2:42). First prize is
an iPod touch (32GB memory), second prize is an iPod nano
(16GB memory) and third to sixth prizes are a one-year
subscription to The Catholic Register and other prizes.
Essays will be published in the Catholic Register. Deadline
for entries is 12 January 2011. E-mail your essay to
editor@catholicregister.org or FAX it to 416-934-2409. For

ADVENT FOLDERS
The word advent is from Latin adventus, meaning
"coming" or “arrival.” It is a time of spiritual
reflection as well as cheer and anticipation.
Advent folders are available at the back of the
church to take home. Thank you in advance for
your generosity. 
ALTAR SERVERS, USHERS and EUCHARISTIC
MINISTERS are asked to sign up for the Christmas
and New Year’s Masses in the Sacristy after Mass.
Your commitment is always appreciated especially
during the Christmas season.
HOPE AND HEALING
This is a support group for those with emotional needs.
We meet once a month on the first Saturday of each
month from 2pm until 3:30pm. We will meet in the
Fraser room. Everyone is welcome to come on
Saturday, December 18th.
CHRISTMAS DECORATING
This year we will be decorating the Church at
1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 19th. Anyone who
would like to help, please leave your name and
telephone number at the Church office. This is a
wonderful opportunity for high school students to
earn their volunteer hours or for families to
volunteer together. Thank you.
BRAMPTON HOMELESS SHELTER
If anyone would like to donate new gloves,
scarves, hats, dark underwear, socks and toiletry
items it would be greatly appreciated. Please drop
off to the office by Sunday, Dec. 19th. Thank you
for sharing with those less fortunate.

Mass of Comfort and Hope
This is a special Mass focusing on
comforting those who have experienced
the loss of a loved one.
