KATHERINE MILLER PROMOTED IN FACILITIES PLANNING
Plant Operations announces the promotion of Katherine E. Miller to Principal Project
Manager in Facilities Planning and Construction. This is a newly created leadership
position that assists in the planning, organization and implementation of facilities projects
at the University of Houston.
She will continue to manage construction projects plus perform the following duties
(including but not limited to):
Serve as a mentor to other FPC project managers
Work with senior leadership to establish goals and determine resource
requirements
Monitor adherence to FP&C inspections and commission processes and policies
Guide and manage project teams through successful implementation processes.
Implement and monitor a contractual project quality control program through the
use of standardized project management forms and available quality control tools
Coordinate approval procedures with the UH Board of Regents, Texas Higher
Education Coordinating Board, and associated State agencies
Provide assistance in the use of technology to support FPC's business goals
Miller joined Plant Operations in July 2002 and has managed highly recognized projects
such as the Welcome Center and Parking Garage, the UH System at Sugar Land Brazos
Hall, among others.
