Division of Student Affairs Residential Life & Housing Press Release FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Lindsay Marshall University Services Communications Coordinator 832.842.4722 lmmarshall@uh.edu REPAIRS COMPLETED AT MOODY TOWERS Houston, Texas, January 18, 2011 – After a temporary malfunction in its heating system, Moody Towers Residence Hall is now back to normal. A new hot water pump has been installed, and maintenance is currently monitoring floor temperatures to make sure the system is working efficiently. The previous hot water pump failed on Friday, Jan. 14, leaving Moody Towers temporarily without heat. Residential Life and Housing (RLH) staff acted immediately to inform returning residents about the problem via email and posted notices in order to encourage them to delay their move-in. Small heaters were distributed to residents and staff already on campus. For updates on the situation, contact the Moody Towers Area Coordinator’s Office at 713-743-6050.
