COUGAR PLACE DRIVE WILL BE CLOSED AT WHEELER STREET
FROM THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 2ND
THROUGH THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 9TH
Due to the construction along Wheeler Street for the future METRO Rail, Cougar Place Drive
will be temporarily closed from Wheeler Street to the first driveway to the University Child Care
Center. The closure will be in effect from Thursday, September 2nd through Thursday,
September 9th. The road will be opened Saturday, September 4th for the University of Houston
Football game against Texas State.
Traffic on Wheeler needing access to Cougar Place Drive will need to turn north on Cullen
Avenue and then left (west) at Cougar Place Drive (See exhibit below).
Sidewalks will remain open along Cougar Place Drive.
The University of Houston is working to minimize the impact of the construction. For questions
