Xaviour PRAYER OF REMEMBRANCE AND PEACE Lord Jesus Christ, Those whom we remember this month are examples of Your words. “Greater love than this no one has than to lay down one’s life for a friend.” This month, we remember all those who lived and died for us; their energy and their effort to defend our freedom for our loved ones and for our country. Teach us to appreciate the value of patriotism… a true and Christian love of country. Let us grow in a love for our country that consists not of following blindly, but of working together to make it the land of goodness according to Your will. Give us the courage, strength and wisdom to teach others the meaning of peace, love, and truth so that we can make this world a better place for all to live in harmony. Loving God, have mercy on Your people and open our hearts to peace and love. Grant that Canada and all nations continue to work for peace and justice. Our conscience guides us in all we do. Growth mindset is a belief that a learner’s abilities can grow and are not fixed. Inquiry‐based learning is an approach to teaching and learning that places students’ questions, ideas and observations at the centre of the learning experience. Studies show that student achievement improves enormously when students are engaged in collaborative inquiry. Our board has equipped our school with a mobile iPad cart. This is available to staff for use with student inquiry into areas of interest. Our school’s collaborative focus for 2015‐2016 is: “If we continue to model a growth mindset, through educator collaboration, as we focus on inquiry practices [in MATH, FSL, NM, ETC.] and the explicit teaching of learning skills, then student engagement and achievement will improve.” PERSONAL ELECTRONIC DEVICES ON BOARD PREMISES AND/OR BOARD SANCTIONED EVENTS FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES: The Dufferin‐Peel Catholic District School Board acknowledges the value of the use of technology for learning. Students are permitted to register and use personal electronic devices (PEDs) on board premises and/or board sanctioned events for educational purposes, under the direction of staff and only with parent/guardian permission. Students may register their PED for the purpose of connecting to the board wireless network. Students are required to adhere to the student “Personal Electronic Device Used with WI‐FI Network Student Agreement” (GF 337) and the “Network User Application and Agreement.” (GF066) Please be advised that the Dufferin‐Peel Catholic District School Board will not be responsible for any cost incurred through the use of personal data plans. PEDs are to be used responsibly and should not interfere with learning; their use must comply with the Catholic Code of Conduct, board policies and procedures. Any personal communications (i.e., phone calls, text messages, etc.) will continue to be directed through the main office. Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in a loss of PED privileges and/or any other consequences deemed necessary by school administration. The school principal may authorize limited acceptable uses of personal electronic devices during school‐sanctioned activities for a specific designated purpose outside of instructional spaces and/or in common areas. Students are responsible for the safety and security of PEDs at all times and the Board assumes no responsibility for lost, damaged or stolen devices. EQAO Last spring, the Primary and Junior Division Assessments of Reading, Writing and Mathematics were administered by the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO). The primary assessments are written by children in grade 3 and the junior assessments are written by children in grade 6. These assessments are conducted by EQAO and provide an indication of each student’s achievement of the knowledge and skills at key points in their primary and junior education. The EQAO results for 2014‐2015 will be released to the public on November 18th, 2015. PROGRESS REPORTS As per Ministry of Education guidelines, students in Grades 1‐8 will receive progress reports on November 17h. Interviews, for students requiring, at the request of the teacher or parent or guardian, will be held the evening of November 19th, 2015. TERRY FOX WALK This year, our Terry Fox Walk was held on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. It was a successful day where staff and students walked in solidarity in support of this very worthy cause. Once again, our school community was very generous in raising funds for cancer research. The total raised was $1279.45, an amount which exceeded last year’s donation. Thank you to our generous and caring Cardinal Newman community! Thank you to Ms. Capel, Ms. Fiorletta, Mrs. Foster, and Mrs. Humniski for organizing this annual event. MOVEMBER IS BACK! During November each year, the Movember Campaign is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in Canada and around the world. This campaign raises vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer. During the month of November, the male staff at Cardinal Newman will be encouraged to grow their moustaches and raise awareness/funds for men's health. This year, the spotlight is on physical activity, as in MOVEmber. Students will be asked to vote for their favourite moustache, and are encouraged to bring in any donation in support of men's health. THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE Cardinal Newman’s Food Drive was a great success due to the generous donations of the school community. A big thank you to all of the families who contributed to our Thanksgiving Food Drive. We collected 9 boxes of food for the Knights of Columbus. Your support and generosity are greatly appreciated. Thank you to Ms. Capel for organizing our Thanksgiving Food Drive. MEMORIAL FOR JUSTIN OSEI‐OWUSU Justin Osei‐Owusu was a former student at Cardinal Newman who passed away on May 7th, 2009. On November 2nd, 2015 at 4:15 p.m., there will be an intimate gathering for a memorial liturgy, installation of a memorial plaque and planting of a tree in honour of Justin Osei‐Owusu. A burning bush shrub and bench will also be added to the memorial garden. Thank you to the Cardinal Newman staff and CSAC for their donations to these items. WELCOME! This year we welcomed a number of new permanent teaching staff to the Cardinal Newman Community: Mr. J. Racco – Grade 7 Mrs. C. Resendes – Library and PT (music) Mrs. A. Valdivia – Grade 3 Ms. M. Tuason – 0.3 Planning Time Teacher We also welcomed a number of long term occasional teachers (LTO). We welcomed Mrs. K. Coulas in Grade 2 for Mrs. N. Camarda, Mrs. M. Foster in Grade 7/8 for Mrs. G. Rockwood and Mr. A. Palmieri in our SERC classroom for Ms. K. Reis. YARD SUPERVISION A reminder to the parents and students that yard supervision does not begin until 9:00 a.m. Students who arrive early at school will have to remain outside. Some parents drop off their children as early as 8:45 a.m. This practice puts your children at risk. We respectfully remind you that it is your responsibility to ensure appropriate care for your children prior to 9:00 a.m. CROSSING GUARD AT BALMORAL DR. AT EASTBOURNE Due to the lack of children crossing at the Balmoral Dr. at Eastbourne school during the lunch hour, there will no longer be a crossing guard during the lunch break as of Monday, October 26th, 2015. KISS AND RIDE The school’s Kiss and Ride Program is located at the front of the building. The “Kiss and Ride” lane is for stopping to drop off your child. It is NOT for parking in the morning. If you need to come into the school, please park in a designated parking spot. The parking authorities frequently make visits to our school and many members of our community have been ticketed with very expensive fines. For parents/guardians who wish to walk their child to the Kindergarten area, please park your car in the parking area. Please do not park in the Kiss and Ride area or the reserved parking spots. VISITORS AT THE SCHOOL & SAFE SCHOOLS ACCESS All visitors and parents are requested to enter the building through the front door and check in at the office. Please sign in, and obtain a pass if you plan to remain in the building for any reason during school hours. Please understand that during instructional time, teachers are not available to meet with you or to take phone calls. All messages or deliveries for students will be handled through the front office. Students are expected to enter and exit through their designated doors. FIRE DRILL & LOCKDOWN PROCEDURES Cardinal Newman School is required to conduct three fire drills in the fall and three in the spring. We will also be conducting two lockdown drills throughout the year. These drills are standard practice across the Board and ensure that in the event of a real emergency, our students and staff can respond quickly and appropriately. If you have any questions or concerns regarding these drills, please speak to your child’s teacher or the main office. IRON JOHN AND IRON JOAN JUSTICE MENTORS We have a group of second year Sheridan College Police Foundation students who have been selected to volunteer at Cardinal Newman School C.E.S. Each of these students has had the required security clearance, Criminal Background Check, to work in our school. The school‐level program is called "Iron John and Iron Joan Justice Mentors" and is run by their professors, Malcolm Bow and Jessica MacLean. The college students support us in a number of ways: within the classrooms assigned, during an after‐ school program (separate permission required) and helping with recess supervision. Most classes have an Iron John/Iron Joan on a weekly basis. We believe this program provides the children with an opportunity to connect with another safe, caring adult in the classroom in an educational context and at recess. If you have any questions, please call us at the school. TRANSPORTATION BUS LOADING ZONE Please be reminded that the front of the school is designated as a “Bus Loading Zone”. Parents/guardians are not permitted to pick up or drop off students in this zone. The safety of the students is our priority. Please drop off or pick up students in the designated school parking lot or the “Kiss and Ride” area. Please ensure that your child rides the bus to which he or she has been assigned. If you wish to change your child’s bus, bus stop or have concerns about the bus schedule you must contact the Transportation (STOPR) department directly at (905) 890‐6000. It is a parental responsibility to ensure that kindergarten and Grade 1 students are met at the bus. If the bus driver does not see a parent or sitter at the scheduled bus stop, the child will be returned to school. LIBRARY NEWS From the Desk of Mrs. Resendes: My name is Mrs. Resendes and I am the new librarian at Cardinal Newman. The library technician and I have been working diligently to update our current library book selection. As such, I want to send an invitation out to all Attending Progress Report Interviews on November 19th to stop by the library to pick up some gently used books (no longer in circulation) to take home for your child. These books will be free for you to take home, but any monetary or updated book donations would be greatly appreciated. All monies collected will be put back into library resources. STUDENT USE OF SCHOOL MATERIALS The school provides your child with regular school materials such as pens, pencils, workbooks and textbooks. Therefore, it is not necessary that you purchase any such materials. However, it is important that children learn to make proper use of these materials and with this in mind, your child’s teacher will explain our expectations about this matter to the children. One of our expectations is that students will be responsible for the replacement of lost books or damaged materials including texts or library books, which are expensive. Teachers will be tracking textbook numbers and students will be responsible for the replacement cost of any damaged or lost books. CATHOLIC SCHOOL CODE OF CONDUCT During the first month of school, student assemblies were held to review school expectations, with a focus on safety, respect, and responsibility. These expectations based on the Catholic Code of Conduct are reviewed and reinforced by teachers in the classrooms. We kindly ask that you review and sign these policies found in the front pages of the Student Agendas with your child(ren) to ensure consistent expectations at home and school. The Student Agenda is a useful communication tool between home and school should you have any questions or concerns to be addressed by your child’s teacher. THE ONLINE REPORTING TOOL The Dufferin‐Peel Catholic District School board has developed a new way to help nurture a safe, caring and inclusive school environment. The Online Reporting Tool is intended for students in grades 3 – 8 who become aware of bullying incidents and negative behaviours. The student can simply ‘click’ on the link found on our school’s website to fill out the report. The report will then be directly emailed to the principal and vice‐principal to be dealt with accordingly. It is important to recognize that the Online Reporting Tool is an alternate reporting option. It is best practice to speak directly with a responsible adult at home and/or in the school. DRESS APPROPRIATELY FOR THE WEATHER Now that the colder weather is upon us, we respectfully remind you to ensure that your children come to school dressed warmly to participate in recess activities. When weather conditions are severe we may reduce the outdoor play time, or have indoor recess entirely, but fresh air and exercise are vital components for successful learning, so we will endeavour to have children play outside whenever possible. Help your children by having them come to school appropriately dressed with scarves, hats and mittens. As well, all students should have indoor footwear at school. This is essential in case of an emergency evacuation. The students will not have time to change their footwear. We also recommend that students keep extra clothing such as socks and pants at school in case their original clothing gets wet. INDOOR / OUTDOOR SHOES The students should have a pair of indoor shoes to wear at school in class and for gym. Outdoor shoes/ boots will be kept for outdoor use only and out of the classrooms in order to reduce the amount of dirt and mud brought indoors. This will assist our custodial staff in keeping the school clean. Thank you for your co‐operation. LATE ARRIVALS & EARLY DEPARTURES As in the past, we ask that you call the school on the days that your child will be absent or late. This is a safety precaution that can save precious moments should there ever be an emergency situation. We thank you for your continued support in following this procedure. If your child will be late or absent from school, it is very important that you notify the school before 9:00 a.m. by leaving a voice mail message on the attendance line at 905‐792‐ 2268 and pressing 1, for the attendance voice mail. You should speak clearly and leave the child’s FIRST and LAST NAME, the teacher’s name, and the reason for the absence or lateness. Any student arriving at school late is required to come to the office to request a late slip. This allows us to change our attendance information, and mark your child late, rather than absent. It is very important that students arrive to school on time and ready to work, as late arrivals disrupt instructional activities and classroom routines. We respectfully request that whether students walk or are driven to school, that they are at school before the bell rings at 9:15 a.m. BREAKFAST CLUB Starting the day off with nutritious food is very important to optimize learning. As part of our “Healthy School Initiatives”, our school is resuming our Healthy Breakfast Program. Through the generous financial support of the Ministry of Children and Youth Services, we will be continuing to offer our Healthy Breakfast Program every school day morning. Healthy Breakfast items will include items such granola bars, fresh fruit, cheese strings, cereal and fruit juice box drinks. There is no cost to the students who participate in this program; however, we welcome all financial donations to support the program. Your generous donation would support in ensuring that we have enough funding for this program for the school year. If you are able, please send your financial donation to your child’s teacher. The Healthy Breakfast Program will run differently from last year. This year, students in Mrs. Patterson’s class will help package and deliver a bin containing Healthy Breakfast items to each classroom beginning around 9:30 a.m. from Monday to Friday when school is in session. This program is open to all FDK‐8 students at Cardinal Newman. We are very grateful to the following staff for their support with this program: Mrs. Cicione, Ms. Coreau, Mrs. Francis, Mrs. Heary, Mrs. Jerman, Mrs. McAndie, Mrs. Patterson and Miss Tuason. Please note: This is not a replacement for lunch. Please continue to provide lunches for your children. We do require your informed consent for your child to participate in the program. Please note that permission forms that were not handed in by the October 9th, 2015 due date will have to wait until December to participate. Menu planning and food ordering is done in advance and it is challenging to accommodate late permission forms. As such, those who did not hand their forms in on time will begin participation in early December. We thank you in advance for your understanding as we work through various logistics in delivery of our Student Nutrition Program. LUNCH HOUR The start time and end time of the lunch hour was changed by five minutes, having very little impact on students who stay at school for lunch. The lunch hour starts at 12:10 p.m. – 1:10 p.m. During the lunch hour, all students who stay for lunch are expected to remain at school, and all students who go home for lunch are expected to go home for lunch. If there is a change in the regular lunch hour procedure for your child, parents/guardians are asked to provide the teacher with a note explaining the change. Student safety is essential at Cardinal Newman School. For this reason, students staying for lunch at school will not be permitted to go to the local plaza. We would like to remind you that the school is not equipped to provide lunches to students who are sent to school without a lunch. Please ensure that your child has a suitable lunch, every day. If you plan to deliver your child’s lunch to the school, please ensure that it is delivered before 12:10 p.m. and is left on the table outside the main office. SEVERE FOOD ALLERGIES Peanut and Other Life‐Threatening Allergies, Sabrina’s Law Anaphylaxis Reaction As we begin the new school year, we would like to inform you that Cardinal Newman School is an allergen‐aware school. There are pupils in attendance at our school who suffer from severe and life‐threatening allergies to certain foods, such as peanut and tree nut products. Exposure to the smallest quantities can cause severe and life‐threatening reactions. Anaphylaxis is a severe and life threatening allergic reaction. The most common allergen triggers are food, insect stings, medications, exercise and latex. An anaphylactic reaction involves symptoms from two or more body systems. We require your continued cooperation in sending foods to school with your child that are free from peanuts, nuts or their by‐products, and nut‐substitute products. We cannot guarantee that any classroom is nut free, but we are attempting to minimize exposure and keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible. We appreciate your help and support in this important issue. We ask you to please refrain from sending birthday and special occasion edible treats into your child’s class. Instead, perhaps you could recognize a special event by sending in a non‐edible treat e.g., pencils, stickers, notebooks. Another alternative is to commemorate your child’s birthday by purchasing a book for donation to our school library. Should you wish to do so, we will be happy to place a sticker with a sentiment similar to: “Donated by Noah Brooks in honour of his 5th birthday on October 18th, 2015”. Thank you in advance for your support and understanding. If your child has been diagnosed with a severe allergy and you have not notified the school, please do so immediately. There are forms that must be completed. Please speak with our secretaries, Mrs. Cosentino and Mrs. Machado to obtain the requisite paperwork. Your continued cooperation in support of our efforts to create a safe and healthy learning environment for all is greatly appreciated! LUNCHES BROUGHT TO THE OFFICE Please consider having your children bring their lunches with them in the morning as the Safe Schools Access Protocol may cause delays in your child receiving lunch. If you are bringing a lunch for your child to pick up from the office, please ensure that it is labelled with your child’s name, teacher’s name and room number. Please instruct your child to come to the front lobby and pick it up from the lunch table. In keeping your child’s safety at heart, students will not be permitted to go out of the building to get their lunches. In order to avoid interruptions to instructional time, students will not be called from class. PAPERLESS SNACKS/LUNCHES Students and staff are encouraged to be environmentally friendly by reducing the amount of paper and plastic waste from lunches and snacks. Last year we received GOLD level standing ECO school certification. Students will have an opportunity to eat snacks before or after recess. Wasps, bees and birds continue to be a problem in the schoolyard, thus snacks will not be permitted in the playground. ECO CLUB NEWS Starting in November, Cardinal Newman will initiate our weekly ECO initiatives. Please encourage your child to participate and help Cardinal Newman's goal in maintaining a greener school! Tuesdays are our "Turn‐It Off Tuesdays"; Wednesdays are our "Water Bottle Wednesdays"; Thursdays are our "Trash‐Free Thursdays" and Fridays are our "Fun Fact Fridays". Stay tuned for more details! Our grade eight boys placed in the top 20 and the top three boys were able to run at the Board Meet on Monday October 26th, 2015. Our grade eight boys ran a terrific race at the Board Meet. We are very proud of the cross country team. Thank you so much for a great season!! With special thanks to our coaches Mrs. Crowley‐Weber and Mrs. D’Aguanno. HEAD INJURIES Even when it may appear to be insignificant, we are obliged to inform parents and guardians of all reported head injuries occurring at school. We do this in recognition of the potential danger of any injury involving the head area. Our interest is not to alarm you, but to keep you informed. Please remind your child to let a staff member know if they bump their head or if they get hurt at school. PEDICULOSIS – HEAD LICE Pediculosis is not considered a health problem because it is not a communicable disease. However, from time to time incidents of pediculosis occur in any school. It is recommended that parents inspect their children’s hair, especially if persistent itching and scratching of the scalp is noticed. Please inform the school if you discover an infestation. Your pharmacist may suggest treatment information. Remind your child that it is not appropriate to share other children’s combs and/or headgear, hats, etc. MEDICATION We have a number of students in the school with health conditions requiring specialized medication or supervision. In order for students to have access to medicine on a daily basis or for us to store medication in the school, your doctor MUST complete the required form. Please ask Mrs. Cosentino or Mrs. Machado for the GF035 should you wish for us to store your child’s prescription or doctor authorized medication. All medication of this sort is to be stored in the school office. We take this precaution so that medication does not fall into the wrong hands. If your child has a medical condition, please notify the school office. CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS All volunteers having direct contact with students are required to provide a C.B.C. (Criminal Background Check). The new board policy has been expanded and includes volunteering on class trips, in classrooms, Catholic School Advisory Council, etc. If there are any community members wishing to volunteer, please visit the school office to pick up the necessary volunteer criminal reference check paperwork. EXCURSIONS AND FIELD TRIPS Classes occasionally take educational trips to extend learning opportunities in curriculum areas. Teachers need to follow appropriate Board procedures. A limited number of trips may be planned by teachers. By LAW the school must have on file permission forms, which must be signed by the parents/guardians. If, on the day of the excursion, your child has not returned his/her forms, and the parent/guardian cannot come into the school to sign the permission forms, the student will remain at the school. Students will be reminded by their teachers about this policy prior to the trip taking place. Staff will offer generous timelines for return of trip permission forms and funds in order that parents/guardians have significant opportunity to submit all paperwork and fees. CATHOLIC SCHOOL ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETINGS Communication between home and school is greatly enhanced by parental involvement with the Catholic School Advisory Council (CSAC). All parents/guardians are encouraged to come out to meetings and participate. The aim of the Catholic School Advisory Council is to promote the vision, values, sacramental life and Catholic practices of the Dufferin‐Peel Catholic District School Board and the Catholic community it serves, and to advise the principal and the Board. On October 6th, Cardinal Newman Catholic School Advisory Council held their first meeting of the year. Thanks to all those who attended. Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board 40 Matheson Boulevard West, Mississauga, Ontario, L5R 1C5 • Tel: (905) 890-1221 • Fax: (905) 890-7610 October 20, 2015 Dear Parent(s) / Guardian(s): As a parent/guardian of a child in a Dufferin‐Peel Year 2 Kindergarten classroom, you may wish to consider the French Immersion program as a possibility for Grade 1 in September 2016. French Immersion is a program in which 90% of the Grade 1 instruction is delivered in French. Instruction in English is added in later years. The Dufferin‐Peel Catholic District School Board presently offers the French Immersion program at St. Margaret of Scotland, St. Gertrude, Divine Mercy, St Elizabeth Seton and St Pio of Pietrelcina in Mississauga, and St. Joachim, Our Lady of Providence and St Angela Merici in Brampton. Transportation is NOT provided for students. It is the responsibility of parents/guardians to transport their children to and from the French Immersion centre. This program offers an excellent opportunity for becoming functionally bilingual in later years and has been found to be very successful. Over 300,000 students are enrolled in Extended French or French Immersion annually across Canada. Students in the Dufferin‐Peel French Immersion program attain a high level of proficiency in French at no cost to the student’s English proficiency or achievement in other academic subjects, such as science and mathematics. Students in the French Immersion program receive at least 4510 hours of instruction in French by the end of Grade 8 and can: communicate effectively in French, by selecting the correct words and nuances, and adapting language in order to be understood; understand radio, television, newspapers and books, with the occasional help of a dictionary; demonstrate knowledge of the culture, society, customs, economy, government and institutions of a French‐speaking community; function well in a French‐speaking community. More detailed information will be available at parent/guardian meetings to be held at three French Immersion locations. Parent(s)/guardian(s) may attend any one of the following sessions: French Immersion centres Session location Date and time St Pio of Pietrelcina Tuesday, November 10, 2015 7:00 p.m. St Gertrude St Pio of Pietrelcina Our Lady of Providence St Angela Merici St Joachim Divine Mercy St Elizabeth Seton St Margaret of Scotland St Angela Merici Wednesday, November 11, 2015 7:00 p.m. St Margaret of Scotland Thursday, November 12, 2015 7:00 p.m. ‐2‐ Submitting an Application The date to submit an application using the French Immersion on‐line application website as well as the deadline for the submission of applications will be announced at the French Immersion Parent/Guardian information sessions. Sincerely, Max Vecchiarino Superintendent of Program MV:MG:drc INFORMATION LETTER Partnering for Change Dear Parents/Guardians: At Dufferin‐Peel Catholic District School Board, we believe that we are called to create a Catholic learning and working environment that is safe, caring, inclusive, and welcoming. Together with Central West Community Care Access Centre (CW CCAC), the Dufferin‐Peel community is continuing with a model of support for students that began last year in some schools. The integrated occupational therapist (OT) model of support was developed and studied by CanChild, a research centre at McMaster University. This model provides educational opportunities for our teachers to learn more about how children develop motor skills and how they can promote motor skill development through classroom activities. In this model, the OT works in the school with select students. She assists teachers, where appropriate, in learning more about motor development in all children and how to help children who may be having difficulty with some motor skills. OTs are health professionals who work with children in many different settings and who have an expertise in fine and gross motor skill development. Fine motor skills are related to tasks such as printing and writing, cutting with scissors, opening juice boxes and doing up zippers. Gross motor skills include activities like jumping, getting onto the school bus, climbing stairs and running. As you may know, the school has a team of staff (resource teachers, support staff) who work with educators to help students achieve their greatest potential. The OT will be part of the school team process and will be in the school on a scheduled basis. She will spend time in our classrooms, gym, and playground. She will observe children and work with school staff to offer instructional methods that may make it easier for children to learn and engage in motor‐based activities. If the OT feels that your child is continuing to have difficulty learning new motor skills, more than is typical for his/her age, she or another member of the school team will contact you. The OT will be spending much of his/her time in kindergarten and primary classrooms supporting the many activities children do at this age to help develop their motor skills. The OT will be working at the school with the broader school team and will be available to teachers to provide support as needed. She/he will work with teachers to share useful information and ideas that support student learning. Educational sessions will be offered for parents as well – watch our school newsletter for details. We hope that you will introduce yourself to the OT when you are in the school to attend a parent function or to visit your child's classroom. If you have concerns about your child’s ability to do motor‐based activities at home, feel free to let the OT know. If you have any questions about this project, please talk with your child’s principal. You may also contact Susan Wynes at CW CCAC, at 905‐796‐0040 ext. 2333. LOVING LEARNING AND LEADING We believe that each one, created in the image and likeness of God, is called by name into the Dufferin‐Peel community, to realize the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations to the fullest extent possible as we all journey from the early years to vocation. “Each one called by name” (Isaiah 43:1) October 2015
