The microarray has been trialed across Europe including locations along the Irish coast where harmful blooms are known to occur. WATER (Warning of Algal Toxin Events) Research Project: The project demonstrates the suitability of a suite of commercially available kits for the detection of biotoxins in shellfish. The project is designed to assist shellfish producers in rapidly assessing the quality of their product, particularly in the peripheral regions of northern Europe.
