Heiney, PhD, RN, FAAN Dunn-Shealy Professor of Nursing Discovery 1 | Rm. 140 915 Greene Street College of Nursing Faculty Profile Dr. Sue Heiney is currently the Dunn-Shealy Professor of Nursing in the College of Nursing and founding Director of the Cancer Survivorship Center. She is currently the Principal Investigator of a funded award to explore cancer treatment adherence in African Americans. She has 30 years of experience as a clinician and researcher and with a focus on behavioral interventions for cancer patients and their families including breast and prostate as well as pediatric cancers. Dr Heiney recently completed her R01 funded study STORY- Sisters Tell Others and Revive Yourself, a telephone intervention for African American women with breast cancer.
