The minutes from the October 6, 2009, meeting and the October 13, 2009, called meeting were approved
as they appear on the web.
New Business
From the School of Teacher Education
▪Proposal to Revise Teacher Admission Policy
There was a Powers/Berger motion to approve/second. Fred Carter presented. Some edits were
mentioned and the motion passed.
▪Proposal to Create a New Course – LTCY 199, Reading Power
There was a Schlinker/Berger motion to approve/second. Pam Petty presented. After discussion and
suggestions for a few edits, the motion passed.
Other Business
▪There was a report from the Alternate Admission Subcommittee.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 3:10.
