Monday, January 31, 2011 Dear Parent/Guardian, On behalf of all the students at St. Leonard School, the Student Government has elected to show the love of St. Valentine by caring for the less fortunate in our world. Since January 30, 2011 is International Leprosy Day, the students, after hearing Father Maderak speak on this matter at church, have decided to try to raise at least $300.00 with a raffle. It costs $300.00 to cure a person of leprosy. We will hold the St. Valentine Raffle to raise money for this worthy cause. Our raffle will run from January 31-February 11, 2011. We will sell tickets for $1.00 (3 tickets for $2.00). All tickets will also have the chance of winning a jar of Jellybeans (donated by Mr. Romanet) with the correct guess as to the number inside. Any extra monies raised will go to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, which helps the needy in our St. Leonard parish community. We have many prizes that have been donated by staff and students at our school. Included is books, toys, gift certificates, etc. The raffle prizes will be drawn at our Valentine Dance on February 14, 2011. We thank you in advance for your generosity.
