FOREWORD The Iranian Petroleum Standards (IPS) reflect the views of the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum and are intended for use in the oil and gas production facilities, oil refineries, chemical and petrochemical plants, gas handling and processing installations and other such facilities. IPS is based on internationally acceptable standards and includes selections from the items stipulated in the referenced standards. They are also supplemented by additional requirements and/or modifications based on the experience acquired by the Iranian Petroleum Industry and the local market availability. The options which are not specified in the text of the standards are itemized in data sheet/s, so that, the user can select his appropriate preferences therein. The IPS standards are therefore expected to be sufficiently flexible so that the users can adapt these standards to their requirements. However, they may not cover every requirement of each project. For such cases, an addendum to IPS Standard shall be prepared by the user which elaborates the particular requirements of the user. This addendum together with the relevant IPS shall form the job specification for the specific project or work. The IPS is reviewed and up-dated approximately every five years. Each standards are subject to amendment or withdrawal, if required, thus the latest edition of IPS shall be applicable The users of IPS are therefore requested to send their views and comments, including any addendum prepared for particular cases to the following address. ﺳﺎﺧﺘﻤﺎن ﺑﺎﻳﺪ ﺗﻮﺳﻂ ﻣﻬﺎرﺑﻨﺪي اﻓﻘﻲ ﻳﺎ ﻣﺎﻳﻞ ﻳﺎ ﺗﻴﺮﻫﺎي ﻃﺮاﺣﻲ ﺷﺪه ﺑﺮاي اﻧﺘﻘﺎل ﺑﺎرﻫﺎي ﺑﺎد ﻣﺴﺘﻘﻴﻤﺎً ﺑﻪ ﺳﻤﺖ ﺷﺎﻟﻮدهﻫﺎ ﻳﺎ از ﻃﺮﻳﻖ ﻛﻪ ﺑﺎﻳﺪ ﺟﻬﺖ اﻧﺘﻘﺎل،ﻗﺎﺑﻬﺎي ﻋﺮﺿﻲ ﻣﻴﺎﻧﻲ ﻳﺎ ﻗﺎﺑﻬﺎي اﻧﺘﻬﺎﻳﻲ . ﺗﺄﻣﻴﻦ ﺷﻮد،ﺑﺎرﻫﺎ ﺑﻪ ﺷﺎﻟﻮدهﻫﺎ ﻃﺮاﺣﻲ ﺷﻮﻧﺪ Resistance to the wind forces on the ends and roof of a building shall likewise be provided by horizontal or inclined bracing or beam systems designed to transmit the wind loads to the side framing, and the side framing shall be braced to transmit these loads to the foundations, or, alternatively, the wind forces on the ends may be taken direct to the foundations by vertical cantilevers. ﻫﻤﭽﻨﻴﻦ ﻣﻘﺎوﻣﺖ در ﺑﺮاﺑﺮ ﻧﻴﺮوﻫﺎي ﺑﺎد وارد ﺑﺮ ﺳﻄﻮح اﺑﺘﺪا و ﺑﺎﻳﺪ ﺗﻮﺳﻂ ﻣﻬﺎرﺑﻨﺪي ﻣﺎﻳﻞ ﻳﺎ اﻓﻘﻲ ﻳﺎ،اﻧﺘﻬﺎ و ﺳﻘﻒ ﺳﺎﺧﺘﻤﺎن ﺗﻴﺮﻫﺎ ﻛﻪ ﺑﺮاي اﻧﺘﻘﺎل ﺑﺎرﻫﺎي ﺑﺎد ﺑﻪ ﻗﺎﺑﻬﺎي ﻛﻨﺎري ﻃﺮاﺣﻲ ﺗﺄﻣﻴﻦ ﺷﻮد و ﻗﺎﺑﻬﺎي ﻛﻨﺎري ﻧﻴﺰ ﺑﺎﻳﺪ ﺑﺮاي اﻧﺘﻘﺎل اﻳﻦ،ﺷﺪهاﻧﺪ ﻧﻴﺮوﻫﺎي،ﺑﺎرﻫﺎ ﺑﻪ ﺷﺎﻟﻮدهﻫﺎ ﻣﻬﺎرﺑﻨﺪي ﺷﻮﻧﺪ و ﻳﺎ ﺑﻪ روش دﻳﮕﺮ ﺑﺎد وارد ﺑﺮ وﺟﻮه اﺑﺘﺪا و اﻧﺘﻬﺎﻳﻲ ﻣﻲﺗﻮاﻧﺪ ﻣﺴﺘﻘﻴﻤﺎً ﺗﻮﺳﻂ .ﻃﺮهﻫﺎي ﻋﻤﻮدي ﺑﻪ ﺷﺎﻟﻮده ﻣﻨﺘﻘﻞ ﺷﻮد In buildings where high-speed traveling cranes are supported by the structure or where a building or structure may be otherwise subject to vibration or sway, triangulated bracing or especially rigid portal systems ارﺗﻌﺎش ﻳﺎ ﻧﻮﺳﺎن ﻗﺮاردارد ﻣﻬﺎرﺑﻨﺪي ﻣﺜﻠﺜﻲ ﻳﺎ ﺳﺎﻣﺎﻧﻪﻫﺎي ﺧﺎص ﻗﺎب ﭘﺮﺗﺎل ﺻﻠﺐ ﺑﻪ ﺗﺄﻣﻴﻦ،ﻣﻨﻈﻮر ﻛﺎﻫﺶ ارﺗﻌﺎش ﻳﺎ ﻧﻮﺳﺎن ﺗﺎ ﺣﺪاﻗﻞ ﻗﺎﺑﻞ ﻗﺒﻮل .ﺷﻮد ﭘﺎﻳﺪاري2-3-5-6 6.5.3.2 Stability The stability of the structure as a whole, or of any part of it shall be investigated, and weight or anchorage shall be provided so that the least restoring moment, including anchorage, shall be not less than the sum of 1.4 times the ﻣﻨﻈﻮر ﺷﺪه در ﻣﺤﺎﺳﺒﻪ ﻟﻨﮕﺮ ﻣﻘﺎوم ﺑﺪون ﺿﺮاﻳﺐ اﻓﺰاﻳﺶ ﻫﻴﭽﮕﻮﻧﻪ ﺗﻨﺶ .ﻣﻌﻜﻮﺳﻲ در ﻋﻀﻮ اﻳﺠﺎد ﻧﻨﻤﺎﻳﺪ All parts of the structure which have been designed for their dead, imposed and wind loads to the allowable stresses in this Engineering Standard shall be deemed to be adequately covered for this margin of stability provided that no stress reversal takes place in the part when the loads contributing to the To ensure adequate strength in addition to designing for applied horizontal loads, a separate check shall be carried out for notional horizontal forces which can arise due to practical imperfections such as lack of verticality. These notional horizontal forces shall be applied at each roof and floor level or their equivalent and shall be taken as equal to 0.5 percent of the sum of the dead and imposed gravity loads applied at that level, but not less than 1.0 percent of the dead load. The notional horizontal forces shall be taken as acting simultaneously with the vertical loads.
