Totally Awesome Tuesday
Congratulations to students who were recognized at our November 10
Totally Awesome Tuesday for exceptional effort in being
communicators and showing independence and respect. The list of
students is here. These students and their families attended a special
bagel breakfast with staff. Great job!
Last week in conjunction with Veterans Day, we
introduced the learner profile attribute: REFLECTIVE and the IB
attitude: APPRECIATION.
Our next Totally Awesome Tuesday is December 1. Staff will
nominate students for recognition who are reflective and/or show
appreciation during November. More information about reflective and
appreciation is in the November IB Newsletter. If you have questions,
please contact our IB Coordinator, Mrs. Wadden
at waddend@wlake.org.

November 16-24 in the Bassett library. The
book fair brings to school a wonderful
selection of fun, engaging, and affordable
books kids want to read!

This week on Monday or Tuesday,
students will come to the book fair during the school day to
make "wish lists" with titles and prices. They will bring the
"wish lists" home so you can discuss their choices, and if you
like, help them select their purchases.

Parents are welcome to come to the book fair during any of
the hours shown below to purchase items from your child's
"wish list" and browse the book fair. The book fair accepts
payment in cash, check, or credit card.

If you prefer, you may send a check or cash to school with
your child's "wish list" and we will be happy to fill your order
and send it home with your child. Please return the wish list
with payment (check payable to Westlake Board of
Education) by Friday, November 20.

If you prefer to shop online, our online book fair is available
