WEC – HOSTED BUYER
HOSTED BUYER
What makes MPI’s Hosted Buyer Program at WEC different from other hosted buyer programs?
The numbers don’t lie. Over the past six years Supplier satisfactions scores were 93%, with 94% reporting they were able
to generate new business opportunities as a result of participating. This is a significant return on investment.
The MPI hosted buyer experience is entering its seventh year of successfully bringing the industry’s best planners and top
suppliers together to do one thing—get business done. We have restructured the program to no longer only be “appointment based” and have moved to a program that will provide a supplier (based on their level of participation) up to three
different planner engagement opportunities to network with hosted planners and general planner attendees at WEC which
will provide a supplier better ROO. We have also integrated both the hosted buyer and MarketSquare programs so suppliers
could maximize their brand exposure during the entire event.
Meet face-to-face with qualified industry professionals who are decision makers in the meetings and event industry.
Participating in MPI’s Hosted Buyer Program means you care about doing business smarter, faster and better.

for that set them apart from their colleagues.
In the world of learning, there’s a season for all ideas, and the MPI Academy is here
to bring those ideas to life. Where there are problems, we can help you find solutions.
Where there are dated practices, we can help you create curriculum to bring your
team’s execution to new levels. Where there is innovation, we can work together to
bring it to the market in ways that captivate learners and helps them up their game.
Together, with the MPI Academy, we can.

• budget creation and oversight
• speaker management
• F&B coordination
• room décor and signage
• technical production
• attendee movement

• onsite communications
• site and project management and more
Those who are new to the industry, or who plan events as just one part of their jobs, will gain a
better understanding of best practices in these areas to improve the way they think about the
meetings they plan. The program aligns with the industry’s accepted competency standards and
introduces the core concepts and skills necessary to be a meeting and event professional. Invest
