Press Release December 2015 Ben Seaton has raised £114 for Multiple Sclerosis with a charity bake sale for his friends at St. Ambrose College to raise money on behalf of his mum Samantha. The 12-year-old budding 'Bake Off' contestant from Sale said: “My mum has MS and though she has injections every day to stop the numbness sometimes you just cannot touch her, which means we both miss out on hugs. But we manage the problem together as a family and Mum is always very positive and loving.” He said: “I just wanted to do something for the MS Society, so asked if I could use the student kitchens at school for a special bake off. They sold out in a matter on minutes with the chocolate brownies definitely the best seller and I would just like to thank everyone for supporting the charity and supporting me and my mum.” Ben, who wants to be either a professional sportsman or a chef, added: “We have made our own Christmas cake together; me, mum my sister and even my dad, that's what we are like as a family.” Mrs Richardson, St. Ambrose College Religious Education teacher, said: “Ben is such a wonderful young man from a very supportive and caring family and we were only too pleased to support his initiative. Unsurprisingly as they were fresh out of our ovens, his brownies sold like hot cakes and were very tasty. I know Mary Berry would have been proud.”
