Coast invite you to a reading with Robin Coste
A JOURNAL OF LITERATURE AND FINE ARTS
Lewis, winner of the 2015 National Book Award. On
Monday, February 1st, Ms. Lewis will read from her
debut poetry collection, Voyage of the Sable Venus,
at the Historic Eldorado Ballroom. Dan Chiasson
of The New Yorker called Ms. Lewis’s collection
“many-chambered and remarkable,” and a reading
with Ms. Lewis is not to be missed. This will be
the ninth event of the Failure to Identify Series, an
occasional, itinerant, and highly-combustible series
of arts & writing events in Houston. The series is
an experiment in creating spaces for innovative,
interdisciplinary and risk-taking writers & artists to
perform for Houston publics, with work that pushes
at the boundaries of the “reading” format.
