The Rotary Club of Brampton honors an annual hands-on initiative known as the ‘Day of Giving’. The ‘Day of Giving’ is an event where the Rotary Club of Brampton collaborates with community organizations to perform helpful and meaningful activities. Sponsors from the community donate materials or resources as needed and the Rotary Club provides the planning, coordination, tools and the necessary labor to complete the tasks. This year this annual event included a project that supported a dedication to Andrew Beland, who passed away suddenly in December, 2011 and who was a student at St. Stephen School. He became an organ donor and his family have promoted this life-giving cause ever since. The Rotary Club of Brampton elected to create a perennial garden to enhance the already existing tribute dedicated to Andrew at the front of the school. The efforts of the Rotary Club Brampton have supported our efforts to keep his memory alive. The school will hold an end of the year tribute to Andrew once again, on Monday, June 24 at 9:15 am! Please join us! R. Pazzelli, Principal Tribute to Andrew Beland!
