Students are permitted to use personal electronic devices (PEDs) on board premises and/or at board sanctioned events for educational purposes in order to support learning, under the direction of staff and only with parent/guardian permission by the use of the Personal Electronic Device Used
With WI ‐ FI Network ‐ Student Agreement.
What is a PED?
A PED is a personal electronic device (PED) you may bring to school and use for school sanctioned educational purposes
Only authorized PEDs can be registered to the board wireless network
ALL other PEDs that are not being used for educational purposes must follow Dufferin ‐
Peel’s policies and procedures
Board wireless technology is used for curriculum ‐ related/educational/ instructional purposes only and under the direction of staff
their personal electronic device is fully charged upon arrival to school.
Students should not assume access to electrical outlets for charging
any personal communications (i.e., phone calls, text messages, etc.) will continue to be directed through the main office

Application and Agreement
In addition to the school’s Catholic Code of Conduct and to outline in some detail the responsibilities of the school and the Dufferin ‐ Peel Catholic District
School Board, any student using the school network is required to adhere to the following rules:

Device User Agreement
In compliance with the Catholic Code of Conduct and other board policies and procedures including but not limited to the Student Network User
Application and Agreement, any student opting to use a PED while on school premises for educational purposes is required to adhere to the following:

I understand that if I bring my PED to school I must follow board and school policies regarding appropriate use of technology.

The Board is NOT LIABLE for any DATA CHARGES incurred on a personal electronic device
If your PED is NOT registered to the board’s wireless network you will incur data charges
The school is NOT
RESPONSIBLE or LIABLE for any lost, stolen or damaged personal electronic devices
Students should be reminded to secure their PEDs at all times
Failure to comply with the policy may result in a loss of
PED privileges and/or any other consequences deemed necessary by school administration.
