We thank Pope Benedict XVI for his
eight years of service to the Church.
And we pray for him and for his successor.
In Thanksgiving for Pope Benedict XVI
O God, who in your wondrous providence chose your
servant Pope Benedict XVI to preside over your Church,
we give you most hearty thanks for the years of his
faithful service, praying that, after having served as the
Vicar of Your Son on Earth, he may enjoy your abundant
blessing in this Life and, at life’s end,
be received by your Son into Eternal Glory
through Christ Our Lord. Amen.
Prayer for the Election of a Pope
Lord God, You are our Eternal Shepherd and Guide.
In Your mercy grant Your Church a shepherd who will
walk in Your ways and whose watchful care will bring
us Your blessing. We ask this through our Lord Jesus
Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the
Holy Spirit, One God, for ever and ever. Amen.
We pray for the repose
of the soul of Fr. Aldo
Uderzo, a Scalabrinian
priest who served St.
Catherine of Siena
Church, for many years.
He will be remembered
fondly for his dedication
and work with the youth
of our parish. He
passed away on Friday,
March 1st , 2013.
