If it is an issue regarding a student, contact the teachers first and if no resolution then contact administration. Literacy Night was a huge success. 100 people responded. Feed back was positive. Comments: Great strategies, learned different grade level learning, would like the night to be earlier. Great staff involvement. Truly committed and offering time to the literacy program Inquiry evening. M.E Family of Schools School Council Meeting was hosted at St. Timothy. The location rotates. Executives for all councils for each school are invited. Karen co-ordinate the event with the superintendant to decide what to do Inquiry was the decided theme The St Timothy staff participated and worked in teams. Parents and executive saw how we teach. Karen is showed the presentation that they did the night of the Inquiry evening. Canadian Flag test, How did parents get the answers The idea is to get children to think about different ways to achieve the answer Traditional Classrooms Video of Charlie Brown presented Video shown "Going Places" Demonstrating that children think differently Critical problem solving for example Ministry of Education & Ontario Curriculum needs to be followed. Gather, Interpret and Analyze, Evaluate, Conclude, Formulate, Communicate, Compare = Inquiry based learning. A copy of Inquiry Based Learning Monograph will be made available to the community. General discussion about the evening from parents to attended Discussion with Karen regarding the breakdown of expenses and costs.
