This is a RECOMMENDED course sequence for students interested in pursuing a degree from Columbia College Chicago for Business, Marketing Major.

degree. One course will satisfy the Human Diversity (HD) requirement, and is labeled with an (HD) in the sequence below.
The digitally focused BA in Marketing aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills to pursue careers in traditional and digital marketing
and communication businesses. Students have the opportunity to learn how to devise marketing and communication plans that target new and
existing audiences. The program’s full-time and adjunct faculty consists of academics and creative professionals who integrate current industry
practices into their classroom to prepare students for professional marketing careers.

Transfer Guidelines
Columbia College Chicago participates in the Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI). Students who complete the AA and
transfer to Columbia College Chicago will be eligible for the IAI General Education Core. Full-time status at Columbia
College Chicago is 12-16 credits per term. All degree-seeking undergraduate students are required to complete Global
Awareness (3 credits), U.S. Pluralism (3 credits), Writing Intensive (3 credits), and upper division (2000 level or higher)
LAS core courses (6 credits). This plan assumes completion of Global Awareness, U.S. Pluralism, and 2000-level LAS
core in transfer, and Writing Intensive will be completed at Columbia College Chicago.
