Frequently Asked Questions What qualifications do I need? A few of our volunteer positions require training. Time available is the most important factor. A desire to make a difference in a child’s education is a great qualification. Volunteers have a strong contribution to make towards a positive and successful learning environment for our community. Do I need a Criminal Reference Check? If you are going to be volunteering on a regular basis in the school, you require a one time criminal reference check. Contact the office about the type of volunteer work you are interested in doing, and they will let you know whether a Criminal Reference Check is required. How much time is needed? Many of our volunteer programs are flexible. We would greatly appreciate any amount of time you are able to offer. I am not available during school hours, can I still volunteer?
