On May 1st, Pope John Paul II was beatified. This is a blessed event for us as we are invited to be part of the process which will lead to his canonization. May we work to exemplify the qualities that Pope John Paul II demonstrated throughout his lifetime. We are also asked to pause and celebrate our system with Catholic Education Week. This is an excellent opportunity for all of us to proclaim to the Catholic community of Ontario and indeed to all Ontarians, that we are proud to celebrate our students, our teachers, our support staff, our administrators, our parents, our Trustees, as we work together in this magnificent enterprise, the “enduring gift“ of Catholic Education. Please see the prayer above. This special prayer has been composed for our school community by our staff. They have also adapted it as a song which we shared as we celebrated the Beatification of Pope John Paul II. We are indeed very fortunate to be part of such a vibrant, talented community. G.
