Discipline--Protection of Students’ Religious Freedoms
POLICY STATEMENT
BCMS students may:
1) Pray vocally, silently, alone or with other students.
2) Express religious viewpoints.
3) Attempt to discuss religious viewpoints with other students.
4) Distribute religious literature.
5) Be absent, observe religious holidays, and participate in other religious
practices.
BCMS students who exercise the above rights may not:
1) Infringe on the rights of BCMS to maintain order and discipline, to prevent
disruption of the educational process, and to determine educational curriculum and
assignments.
2) Harass other persons or coerce other persons to participate in the activity.
3) Otherwise infringe on the rights of other persons.
No teachers, administrators or other employees may lead, direct, or encourage any
religious or anti-religious activity.
