What Are We Learning This Week?
Reading- We will continue learning letters and sounds.
We are learning sight words. We are learning to point
Clip Offs
under words as we read patterned text. We will continue
Congratulations to the following students for
clipping off the top of the behavior chart this
week:
building stamina for Read to Self and Listen to Reading.
We will continue learning about characters, setting &
sequence of a story. We will learn about the plot of a
story.

Writing- We will be learning to stretch words to hear
their sounds as we label the classroom. We will continue
narrative writing. Our focus will be on drawing a quick
sketch and stretching words to hear and write sounds.
Math- We will learn to use counting strategies to
compare numbers using the words more and fewer. (i.e.How many more is 9 than 6?)
Social Studies- We will be learning about the 7
continents.
