SUBJECT:
Proposal to move the Minor in Soil Science (PCC log 06002)
Your proposal to move the Soil Science minor to the Department of Environmental
Science and Technology (inadvertently overlooked in the spring reorganization) was
administratively approved. A copy of the approved proposal is enclosed.
The changes are effective for Fall 2006. The College should ensure that the change is
fully described in the Undergraduate Catalog and in all relevant descriptive materials.

Proposals to reorganize several departments in AGNR in the spring of 2006 did not address -thedisposition of
the minor in Soil Science. This minor is academically and administratively linked to the B.S. in Natural
Resource Sciences concentration in the Conservation of Soil, Water and Environment, which was moved to the
new department, Environmental Science and Technology. We propose to move the Soil Science minor to the
Department of Environmental Science and Technology.

The Department of Environmental Science and Technology will sponsor and administer the minor in Soil
