The third meeting of the 11th senate was called to order at 5 p.m. on Tuesday
September 11, 2012.
There were 28 senators present. There was a motion to approve the last meeting's
minutes. Passed.
Officer Reports
President Cory Dodds
I met with the committee that oversees construction on campus. Elections are this
month. There is an info session tonight for those running. SGA was asked to help
with National Voter Registration Day on September 25th, 2012.
Executive Vice President Keyana Boka
We are still working on the retreat. We have two dates in mind. We will vote for
either September 23rd or September 29th. Meals and snacks will be provided.
Sunday September 23rd was decided. It will be 3-7 p.m. in ICSR. We are looking to
provide Izzy's. Last Friday I met with Dr. Jennings and discussed test prep on
campus for tests such as the LSAT. We are also trying to get a guest pass program
started for Preston in the spring.
Administrative Vice President Cain Alvey
I will have a copy of the budget in your agenda next week. I have spoken with the
head of Auxiliary Services about ID vouchers.
Speaker Christopher Costa
I want you all to look at the seconds. It will serve as a newsletter.
Staff Reports
Chief of Staff-Travis Taylor
Keyana and I have been working on retreat. Sunday September 23rd from 3-7 p.m.
has been decided. The office has ordered scantrons and bluebooks.
Director of Public Relations-Drew Mitchell
If you want to attend John Goodman's speaking, it will be on the 17th.
Director of Academic and Student Affairs-Brittany Crowley
Look at the study away bill. Also, I am looking transcript vouchers.
Director of Information Technology-Sarah Hazelip
I start training next week for the website.

Academic Affairs-Hannah Garland
We have a bill up for first read. It is the study away bill. I will have a
meeting after senate.
Campus Improvements-Mallory Chaney
Next week I will have a bill up for first read about campus cleanup. This year we
will only have a Make a Difference Day. I am meeting with who is in charge of
that.
Legislative Research-Nikki Seay
LRC meets Thursdays at
the bills there.
4 p.m. in the SGA office. We need to have the author of
Public Relations-Hayley Wilkins
Next week on Tuesday we will have an info booth set up for Project Effect. It
will be in Centennial Mall from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Let me know if you can work a
shift or stop by. I will have a meeting after this.
Student Affairs-Natalie Broderick
I printed copies of the changes discussed last week. Try to promote student
contact with this issue. We also talked about awareness of the drug, spice.

Judicial Council Report
We reviewed the election codes. We also removed a senator.
Unfinished Business
Executive Action: "Establishment of a Special Long-Term Goals Committee"
Cory Dodds: Other SGA groups around the state have a long-term goals committee.
It will help new executive staffs and senates in the future. We can all agree on
certain goals for our SGA.
Motion to approve the executive action. Passed.
New Business
Senator Seay mover to suspend the bylaws and move election codes to unfinished
business. Passed.
Motion to approve election codes. Passed.
Motion to move back into the bylaws. Passed.
