Bill 15-12-S. Funding for the Organizations Nonprofit Student Association, Iota Phi Theta,
Financial Planning Association
PURPOSE:
For the Student Government Association of Western Kentucky University to
allocate $1400.00 to these organizations.
WHEREAS: The money will come from Organizational Aid funding,
WHEREAS: Nonprofit Student Association has been recommended an allocation of $500.00 to
help with purchasing materials that will go towards their 5th annual WKU nonprofit awards
reception which is a chance for members to network and to help influence ideas for future
careers for members, and
WHEREAS: Iota Phi Theta has been recommended an allocation of $500.00 to help with travel
expenses to Memphis, Tennessee where they will be inducting members into their fraternity.
Also they will go through educational workshops, harm reduction workshops, and recruitment
workshops to help themselves become better men, and
WHEREAS: WKU Advertising Federation has been recommended an allocation of $200.00 to
help with travel expenses to different advertising agencies in Louisville to show future grads
possible career opportunities and to bring back ideas to the club, and
WHEREAS: WKU Financial Planning Association has been recommended an allocation of
$200.00 to help with bringing in speakers to help speak to the club about careers and money
management while in school and to also help with networking, and
THEREFORE:
Be it resolved that the Student Government Association of Western
Kentucky University will allocate $1400.00
