Funding For The Sixth Annual PFT Thanksgiving Dinner PURPOSE: For the Student Government Association of Western Kentucky University to allocate $220.00 for the funding of the annual Pearce-Ford Tower Thanksgiving Dinner WHEREAS: The money will come from general senate funding, and WHEREAS: The Department of Housing and Residence Life will be co-sponsoring the event, and WHEREAS: Pearce-Ford Tower (PFT) is home to international students and students who do not have local family members, and WHEREAS: The Department of Housing and Residence Life strives to build community among campus residents, and WHEREAS: The PFT Thanksgiving Dinner will be a great way for international students to meet and befriend other students, and WHEREAS: PFT will be hosting the Thanksgiving Dinner on November 24 at 3:00 p.m. on the 27th floor, and WHEREAS: The PFT Thanksgiving Dinner will be a free dinner open to all residents of PFT, international students, and the University Police Department, and WHEREAS: Attendance is estimated at 50-60 people, and WHEREAS: The PFT Thanksgiving Dinner will also have an educational component: to teach international students about American Thanksgiving traditions. THEREFORE: Be it resolved that the Student Government Association of Western Kentucky University will allocate $220.00 to help fund the PFT Thanksgiving Dinner.
