Organizational Aid Appropriations for Vietnamese Student Association, League of Sculptors, WKU Dodge Ball Club, Lambda Pi Eta, and Women’s Club Volleyball PURPOSE: For the Student Government Association Of Western Kentucky University to allocate $2,500 from the organizational aid fund to Vietnamese Student Association, League of Sculptors, WKU Dodge Ball Club, Lambda Pi Eta, and Women’s Club Volleyball. WHEREAS: Organizational Aid is a beneficial service to the Student Organizations of Western Kentucky University, and WHEREAS: The allocated funds will support specific student events on Western Kentucky University’s main and regional campuses, and WHEREAS: The Vietnamese Student Association has been recommended an allocation of $500.00 which will go towards helping to pay for their Traditional night which funds are needed for the rental of BCM and for supplies for the event, and WHEREAS: The League of Sculptors has been recommended an allocation of $500.00 to go towards their trip to the National Ornamental Metal Museum where the students can learn new ways of working with metal, work with the top artists, and to build networking, and WHEREAS: WKU Dodge Ball Club has been recommended an allocation of $500.00 to go towards the entry fees to the National College Dodge Ball Association’s National Tournament in Saginaw, Michigan, and WHEREAS: Lambda Pi Eta has been recommended an Allocation of $500.00 to go towards the travel expenses to send members to the National Communication Association Conference in New Orleans, where members can meet with distinguished alumni, network, and grow as individuals, and WHEREAS: Women’s Club Volleyball has been recommended an Allocation of $500.00 to go towards the National Club Volleyball Tournament entry fees, and also travel expenses. This is the first time that the Women’s Volleyball Club has been able to go to this tournament, and THEREFORE: Be it resolved that the Student Government Association of Western Kentucky University allocate the needed funds of $2500.00 to Western Kentucky University student organizations.
