Funding for Water Bottles for the Student Wellness Healthy Days Student Health
Fair
PURPOSE:
For the Student Government Association of Western Kentucky University to
allocate $300.00 in funding for water bottles that advertise the cosponsored event
of the Student Wellness Healthy Days Student Health Fair.
WHEREAS: The Sustainability Committee is an initiative to promote WKU Student
Government Association’s (SGA) recognition of the importance of sustainable
practices on campus to strengthen the overall environmental outlook of WKU,
and
WHEREAS:
The Student Wellness Healthy Days Student Health Fair is an event put on by
WellU in the month of March to encourage healthy living among students and the
Sustainability Committee seeks to partner with WellU to cosponsor this event and
bring recognition to sustainable living habits, and
WHEREAS: The Healthy Days Student Health Fair will be held in the Preston Center on March
1st, 2016, and
WHEREAS: The expenses for the event will include six hundred water bottles to advertise the
cosponsoring between the SGA Sustainability Committee and WellU for this
event which will cost $300.00, and
WHEREAS: WKU SGA will allocate $300.00 from Senate discretionary funding to cover half
of the cost of the water bottles. WellU will pay for the other half of the cost.
THEREFORE:
Be it resolved that the Student Government Association of Western
Kentucky University will allocate $300.00 in funding for the water bottles
that advertise the cosponsored event of the Student Wellness Healthy Days
Student Health Fair.
