CHC Parent Orientations Continue
Started in Fall 2012, Parent Orientations provide both parents and their new CHC students
an opportunity to ask questions, tour the campus and become
familiar with educational jargon. Two Orientations were held for
Spring semester—one in December and the second in January.
In the Fall 2013, the Student Services Division hopes to offer a
Spanish-language orientation as well. For families that include a
first-time college student, the orientation addresses such issues
as the respective roles of parents, instructors, counselors, and
students’ responsibilities, how to establish educational goals
and how to access the various resources of the college.
