The staff at the MCC Northern Tier Center is happy that you chose to attend the Clio Site. NTC is growing and this provides us with opportunities to provide better services and a wider class selection. Many students want to take more classes at the NTC/Clio site. One of the best ways to increase the selection is to increase our student enrollment and to communicate to our NTC Staff any classes you like to see added to the schedule. I, as the Site Director, make recommendations to each Academic Division regarding class selection and your input is very valuable consideration. As you continue your Fall semester classes remember to plan for Winter Semester registration. Try to take as many classes as possible at the NTC/Clio site and be aware of the following items: 1. Winter Semester 2012 Registration will begin November 1, 2011: Classes Begin on January 14, 2012. Qualified students may register on-line or in person at any campus location. NTC and each campus will have Counseling hours for help with registration. December 12, 2011 is the payment deadline date. Student’s registration after this date must secure a payment option at the time of registration. 2. Stay focused in your Fall classes. If you find yourself struggling in class, seek help from the instructor as soon as possible. Instructors want you to be successful. 3. If you need to drop a class for Fall semester, make sure you understand how it will affect your financial aid, tuition balances, and academic standing. You may speak with a Counselor for assistance. 4. December 14, 2011 is the last day to drop a class and receive a “W”. A “W” will not affect your G.P.A but will be used for Financial Aid standards. 5. As you get close to Mid-Term and Finals, remember the college has some amazing resources for students success that include: Math Empowerment Zone: Free math help for any student in any math class provided by MCC instructors. Gorman Center. Writing Center: Any student with any writing assignment can get help by MCC English instructors. They will critique and assist you with your assignment.
