Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor
Full-time Faculty Position
The College of Nursing, University of South Carolina, is seeking
a qualified candidate eligible for the rank of Clinical Assistant or
Clinical Associate Professor to fill a full-time faculty position to
teach in the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs.
Opportunities exist for clinical faculty practice and research/
scholarship activities. Faculty appointment and salary are
commensurate with the level of clinical practice, teaching,
leadership, and scholarship experience of the candidate.
Job Description
The faculty member would provide didactic instruction and
clinical mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students in
clinical and simulation settings.
We are looking for a candidate who has knowledge and/or
experience of: Undergraduate Nursing curricula aligning with
the Essentials of BSN Education; the application of innovative
online class delivery and simulation methodologies; scholarship,
applications; and leadership. Must have a serious commitment
to the professional development of undergraduate and graduate
nursing students.
Qualifications
Earned doctorate in Nursing (DNP or PhD), with an
unencumbered RN licensure, and relevant nursing and teaching
experience. Excellent communication skills, team-building, selfmotivation and initiative are expected. Basic Life Support (BLS)
is required.
