ACTION ITEMS 1. Romero Jalomo Review of minutes from August 28, 2014 Dr. Jalomo advised council members to review the August 28, 2014 minutes. No corrections. Motioned by Yoshiko Matsushita-Arao, Seconded by Manuel Bersamin and carried to approve the minutes as submitted. 2. Romero Jalomo AP 4050 (Second Read) The Academic Senate requested the College Articulation Officer to be a separate position from the High School Articulation Officer. ACTION: Tony to send Academic Senate’s revised information regarding articulation to Dr. Jalomo and Jacqueline. 3. Student Affairs Resource Allocation Requests Romero Jalomo The council reviewed the Student Affairs Resource Request Priority List located on the website. In order for a department to request assests, the department must first complete and annual program review. Dr. Jalomo advised the council to review the Resource Request Priority List to view items the Student Affairs department will be requesting. Motioned to re-approve by Tony Anderson, Seconded by Melissa Romero and carried to approve as submitted. INFORMATION/DISCUSSION/PRESENTATIONS 1. Student Success and Services Plan 9SSSP) – revised draft Revised draft posted to the website. Dr. Jalomo advised the council to review the information. Romero Jalomo Romero Jalomo 2. Revised Timeline for SSSP, SEP and BSI Action Plan Completion The revised draft is posted to the website. Dr. Jalomo advised council to review the information. The deadline to submit information regarding the SEP plan to the Chancellor’s office has been extended to January 1st, 2015. The first read of the plans will be read at the Board Meeting on October 7, 2014. Please send Dr. Jalomo any requested revisions to the plan. th Matt Coombs 3. New Hartnell College website “live” on Monday, September 29 This item has been moved from Brief Announcements. Matt Coombs spoke to the council regarding the new website, updates and revisions. To become a contributor to the website, Matt advised council to contact Megan Blevins or Laura Lark at the PDC department. They will take you through the process to developing content in Drupal. Content contributors may choose between in-person training or sign up for an online training through Etudes. The preview of the new website address: live-hartnell.gotpantheon.com will break as of September 30th. Access to the new website will be www.hartnell.edu on the launch day. The old website will be available for a short time after the launch at the web address: old-hartnell.edu. th Matt Coombs 4. Single User Sign-on Conversion, Monday, October 13 ; for all employees and students. This item has been moved from Brief Announcements. After the website launch, the Information Technology (IT) department will engage with Ellucian all next week to prepare Colleague in order to transfer the way we log in to all of the servers on campus. All logins will be streamlined. Students, faculty and staff will need to use their Hartnell ID to log in. Faculty and staff may locate their employee ID number through Colleague. All passwords will need to be updated during the first login. Email addresses will remain the same and will not change. All Multi-Function Devices (MFD) will be activated on October 13th. The MFD’s will allow you to scan to an e-mail or thumb drive and print from home as long as you are sending a PDF. You will also be able to use pay-for-print through these devices. If students do not know their Hartnell ID number, they may access PAWS with their social security number and retrieve their student ID number. When entering your Hartnell ID, do not enter the beginning zeros, just the numbers following the zeros. OTHER ITEMS/BRIEF ANNOUNCEMENTS 1. Providing Comprehensive Student Services online webinar, October 7th, 12:00pm-1:30pm Information regarding the webinar is on the Student Affairs Council website. 2. Manage Your Money Week – October 18-25, 2014 The EOPS and TRiO departments will be hosting a workshop on financial literacy during the next Money Monday on October 20th, 3:00pm-6:00pm in B-110. 3. Major in Psychology Workshop hosted by Yoshiko Matsushita-Arao, Friday, October 3rd, 2:00pm-3:30pm, E-321. Please contact Yoshiko if you would like to attend. ACTION: Yoshiko will send workshop information to Esmeralda for a campus wide announcement.
