WORLDQUEST
The Center for International Education and the International Students’ Society invite the Student
Government Association to join us for this very special Xavier tradition! WorldQuest, the funfilled, competitive international trivia game, is on February 12th from 6:00-9:30pm in the Cintas
Center. Teams of 8 will compete for the title of WorldQuest grand champions. In addition to the
contest, there will be entertainment and drawings for great prizes! Dinner from around the world
will be served prior to the competition.
Do not miss out on all the fun! Register your team today. Tables are $160. The registration
deadline is Friday, January 22nd. For questions, please contact the Center for International

SPRING STUDY ABROAD FAIR
Encourage students to eXpand their horizons and study abroad! The Spring Study Abroad Fair
is Wednesday, January 27th from 12:00pm to 3:00pm in Fenwick Atrium.
INTERNATIONAL COFFEE HOUR: BRAZIL
Join us for International Coffee Hour today from 3:30pm-4:30pm in the Faces of the World
Lounge. The Brazilian students who are in the Brazilian Science Mobility Program this year are
hosting. Stop by to enjoy a few authentic snacks from Brazil and a nice hot cup of coffee.

DRONES AND THE INTERNATIONAL LAW OF ARMED CONFLICT
The Foreign Policy Leadership Council, Greater Cincinnati World Affairs Council, and the
Brueggeman Center for Dialogue host James Mackler for a discussion about US drone strikes
and modern warfare. The discussion is in the Cintas Center on Tuesday, Feb. 9th beginning with
a reception at 5:30pm. Admission for members of the FLPC, GCWAC, and Brueggeman Center

SEMINAR – WORKING EFFECTIVELY WITH JAPANESE
Register now for Learn About Japanese Business Culture in Cincinnati or share this unique
opportunity with your students. On February 23rd from 9:00am to 4:30pm, Teruko Nesbitt, a
Xavier MBA alum and the new Japanese Intercultural representative will lead an interactive
seminar on strengthening business relations with Japanese colleagues and customers. You will
walk away from the seminar with important knowledge that will create a framework of mutual
understanding of cultural business practices, as well as tips for improved communication that
can be applied right away in your business operations. The seminar will be held at Crowne
Plaza Cincinnati Blue Ash.
