Catalog description:
395 Research, Writing, and Presentation (0-3). F, I, and S.
Completion of an approved experimental or theoretical research with presentation of
results. The research may be done entirely as part of this course or through another
avenue (e.g., summer research with a faculty member or Physics 384). Normally, each
student is required to submit a formal, written report and to present results in a
department seminar and/or poster presentation. This course may be taken up to three
times. Prerequisites: A faculty sponsor and approval of the department.
This course may be taken for 0 to 3 semester hours of credit. The student is required work on the
project for at least 40 hours per semester hour of credit. Zero semester hours is appropriate if the
research was completed in the summer and the presentations done during the academic year.
The student should complete this form, obtain all signatures, and then bring it to the Registrar’s Office
to enroll in the course.
