Associated Students Elections

The Associated Students of Hartnell College shall conduct annual elections to elect
officers/senators. The elections shall be conducted in accordance with procedures established
by the ASHC Constitution.
Any student elected as an officer in the Associated Students of Hartnell College shall meet both
of the following requirements:
•
Executive Branch Officers shall be enrolled in the District as follows:
o Been enrolled in a minimum of 12.0 units (in the Fall and Spring terms)at the time of
election and throughout his/her term of office.
•
Legislative Branch shall be enrolled in the District as follows:
o Be enrolled in a minimum of 9.0 units (in the fall and spring terms) at the time of
election and throughout his/her term of office.
•
The student shall meet and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.5 grade point average at the
time of taking office and throughout his/her term of office and meet the minimum
standards of scholarship (see BP 4220 titled Standards of Scholarship and related
administrative procedures).
•
The student shall not have earned more than 90 cumulative degree applicable semester
units at the time of elections and taking office.
