HARTNELL COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT AP 4040 Library and Other Instructional Support Services References: Education Code Section 78100; Accreditation Standard II.C The Hartnell Community College District shall provide a full-range of library services and resources for the students and faculty of the district. To support the learning, teaching, information, and technology needs of the college community, the library seeks to provide the best possible resources and services. These include access to a diverse collection of academic materials in a variety of formats to enrich and support the curriculum of the college. In addition, the college shall provide library services that include reference assistance, computers and technical support, and remote access to learning resources. To meet the many learning needs of students, the Library shall provide a variety of environments to encourage self-directed, interactive, and collaborative study. Additionally, the college will provide tutorial services along with other instructional support services to further student success. Adequate hours of service for library and learning resources will be maintained to support the academic and technology needs of students and faculty.
