A Peek into Fifth Grade

Literacy – We are continuing our Nonfiction unit of study. We also take time each day to discuss Charlotte’s

Web and check for understanding.
Math – We have had whole class mini units on perimeter and area. We are moving along in multiplication



and a small group is just beginning to jump into multiplication.
Social Studies – We are learning about life in the young United States of America.
Physical Science – Our second trimester unit is Physical Science. We are learning about mass and matter.

Taft Meeting – Please note that our Taft parent meeting is at 6:00-7:00pm on February 2 in the MultiPurpose

room. We encourage first time parents to attend our meeting.
