members who have all accepted positions at new schools.
Ms. Adusei, Ms. Cassar, Mr. P. Furtado, Mlle. Hanna,
and Mrs. Urac, Mrs. Roberti, Mr. Da Costa, and Mrs.
Tresgallos. We wish them every success in their future
roles and thank them for their dedication and
contributions in making St. Anne a great place to learn.

Wear shorts of an appropriate length (e.g., a
walking short length or longer)
Wear pants/jeans/capris at appropriate waist level
(no hipsters)
Sleeveless blouses are permitted (no tank tops or
muscle shirts – must be three fingers in width)
Blouses/skirts should be of a length that they could
be tucked in if required
At no time should any undergarment be exposed
Caps and visors are recommended. Please, no
bandanas or sports bands
As per Board Policy, all school volunteers are required to
have an updated CRC. If you plan to volunteer in any school
activity, including day trips, please ensure that your CRC is
on file in the office.
FROM THE LIBRARY
Thank you all students for a
wonderful year at the library!
The time has come to return all
your books for the year. Please
note the following dates:
Last day of book exchange:
Friday, May 31st.
All books need to return by:
Thursday June 6th.
Students are reminded that they are responsible for any
borrowed library materials and may have to pay for lost or
damaged books. If you find the lost book, return it to the
library and you will be reimbursed.
If you have any questions, please ask Mrs. Gallo-Reid, the
Teacher-Librarian.

Athletics:
CITY CHAMPIONS!!!
Congratulations go out to the girl’s softball
team for their outstanding sportsmanship
during tournament and becoming City
Champions. Thank you to Ms. Slade and
Mrs. Robin for coaching. Team Members: Jocey,
Madeline Y., Ashley, Samantha, Denise, Sherise,
Dana, Angeline, Patricia, Winy, Madeline A., and
Siobhan.
Congratulations go out to the boy’s softball
team for their outstanding effort and
sportsmanship this season. The boys finished
3rd out of 10 teams. Well done! Thank you to
Mr. Halverson and Mr. Kerr for coaching.
Team Members: Javier, Kyle, Ryan, Kevin, Tyler,
Eduardo, Luke, Tristan, and Connor.
VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION
Mark your calendar for June 17th at 2:30 p.m. for our annual
volunteer appreciation social! All volunteers are invited to
the school for a social to be recognized for your valuable
time that you give up to i.e. enhance school programs, attend
a school trip, assist with Council luncheons, help coach a
team or be a Council member. Invitations will be sent home
with your child. We look forward to seeing all of you!
CLASS PLACEMENTS
As in previous years, class lists and teacher placements will
be publicized ONLY on the first day of school. Due to new
registrations that will occur in late August and families
moving over the summer, class assignments may by changed
during the first month of school.
Talent Show:
St. Anne's Got Talent! St. Anne's Annual
Talent Show was held on May 16th and 17th.
There were many fabulous acts and Fashion
Show, by St. Anne's very own talented
students. The show would not have been a
success without the fabulous MC's and our
terrific backstage crew!! Thank you to all
parents, family and friends who came to watch
and support our talented performers!
Thank you to Mme. O’Reilly, Ms. Adusei,
Mrs. Savage and Mrs. Del Pilar
for
organizing the Talent Show.
Orienteering Team:
Congratulations to the St. Anne Orienteering
Team for their hard work and dedication. A
special mention to Dana B.,Alicia B., and
Mikaela N., who placed in the top 3 in the
Toronto tournament, and Siobhan A., who
placed 4th. Thank you to Mme. Alaimo &
Mrs. DeRidder for coaching.
Student Parliament and Youth Faith
Ambassadors:
Thank you to the St. Anne Student Parliament
and Youth Faith Ambassadors for their
ongoing leadership in running Playday, school
spirit weeks, liturgies, dances, and a variety of
school social justice initiatives throughout the
year.
EQAO Provincial Assessment
IMPORTANT DATES
Congratulations to our Grade 3 and 6 students on the very hard
work that they have spent preparing for the assessment, and
know that they tried their best! Thanks to the teachers who
were very busy preparing the students as well! Our grade 3
and 6 students will finish EQAO on June 6th.

courtesy seat assignment is reviewed
each school year – even if your child
had received busing this year.
Junior Kindergarten:
JK children do not attend school the first week of school.
Their child’s teacher will contact parents prior to school to
arrange a classroom visit and teacher meeting during the
first week of school. All Junior Kindergarten children
will begin on Monday, September 9th 2013.

Senior Kindergarten:
SK children will assemble in the kindergarten play area.
Grade 1-8 students:
All grade 1-8 students are to assemble in the playground.
Teachers will gather students by grade level and inform
students of their teacher and classroom location.
In case of rain, Senior Kindergarten students will gather in
the library, students in grades 1-3 will gather in the small
gym and students in grades 4-8 will gather in the large
gym.
