GENERAL COUNSEL/OFFICE OF INTERNAL AUDITOR PROGRAM INFORMATION: The Office of the General Counsel provides advice, assistance, and guidance on legal issues. Western Kentucky University, as an institute of higher learning, seeks to provide the highest quality faculty and staff and a superior working and learning environment for the campus community. In support of the University’s goals, the Office of General Counsel seeks to ensure that the legal rights and opportunities of the University are protected and that its legal obligations are met. The Office of the Internal Auditor is responsible for reviewing the adequacy and effectiveness of the University’s system of internal controls, and is also responsible for examining and evaluating the activities of the University and assist the University in the effective discharge of its internal and external responsibilities.
