Dear Colleagues, On behalf of the Full-time Faculty Hiring Committee, I invite you to meet with us to discuss your request for a faculty position to be filled in the 2016-17 school year. We are reading your PPAs and reviewing data, but want to talk with you, too, to help us form our recommendations. Ideally, a full-time faculty from your department will make the presentation, but please ask your dean to represent you if that is not possible. (This is addressed to all full-time faculty and deans in the departments that have made requests so you know what is going on, but we assume you will designate the presenter in your discipline.) Because there are so many requests, and we want to talk with all departments that asked, the timeline is very tight to complete the process and make recommendations in a timely way December. We regret that it was not possible to consult with you about preferred meeting times. The committee meets Monday afternoons between 4:00-6:00, and please see the schedule below (alphabetical order, for the most part). If neither a faculty nor a dean from your area can present during that time, please let us know ASAP and we will try to switch with someone else. Switching will not be easy, so please make every effort to be represented at the appointed time. Note that we are allotting 15 minutes, including time for questions. Please see the attachment for the information we would like for you to include in your presentation. (Yes, we read the PPAs, but want you to bring it to life!) We look forward to meeting with you. Please let me know if you have any questions.
