Hartnell College’s Agricultural Workforce Development Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSI) Education Grants Program This application to the US Department of Agriculture, National Institute of Food and Agriculture, will support training programs in two occupational areas for which there is high, long-term agriculture industry demand: pest management advisor and horticulture technician. The project will help a large population of underrepresented AWARDED Hispanic students access high wage, career track training in agriculture. And, it will $250,000 help the regional $4 billion agriculture industry meet a need for qualified high skill workers to advance sustainability and competitiveness.
