The Central Coast Center for Independent Living (CCCIL) is a private, not
for-profit organization, run by and for persons with disabilities, whose
purpose is to advance the civil rights and independent living opportunities of
all people with disabilities living in the counties of Monterey, Santa Cruz, and
San Benito.
JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
Associate Director
The Central Coast Center for Independent Living (CCCIL) is seeking an individual who
can organize, motivate, engage, and empower individuals with disabilities to be
effective advocates in their communities.
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Associate Director oversees the daily
operations of the organization including managing activities related to human resources,
safety, resource management and development to maximize the strategic development
and use of organization resources in support of overall organizational goals and
objectives. The Associate Director is responsible for managing, developing and
implementing the policies, strategies and processes in a variety of functional areas that
support organizational objectives. This position includes budget planning and
developing for current and future contracts/grants.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree and 7 years of demonstrated success in philanthropic resource
development; business experience in a number of diverse business areas such as
finance, accounting, human resources, marketing and operations management.
Ability to clearly communicate, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of staff,
consumers, Board members, philanthropic donors, funding organizations, legislative
members and other outside agencies. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Ability to work independently and as a team member, make decisions and use good
judgment and discretion in the decision making process. Strong analytical, critical
thinking skills and self-motivating.
Supervision and oversight of the Community Organizer, Program Manager and Special
Projects. Ability to work independently and as a team member and effectively prioritize
task. Be able to set and meet goals/deadlines to achieve desired results.
