COMMUNICATIONS & MARKETING
MISSION
The University of Houston Enrollment Services Office of
Communications and Marketing provides communication
and marketing services to all departments within
Enrollment Services, as well as the University community,
in order to support recruitment, retention, and student
success operations and initiatives. In this role, ESCM staff
apply their knowledge and expertise to practices that
ensure University and divisional goals are achieved.

WHAT WE DO
E-Communications –
We collaborate with office
leadership to write, edit and
distribute all student emails
regarding important
deadlines, updates and events
within Enrollment Services.
We combine University writing
style and branding to create
impactful messages to
educate and inform students.
WHAT WE DO
Print Publications and Special Projects – Our office is charged
with editing speeches, letters and content for student
Viewbooks, postcards and other print publications. We work to
carefully apply University writing style and branding to present
information in ways that are accurate, exciting and bold.

Web Support —
The ES Office of
Communications and
Marketing also writes
original content, creates
Web pages and manages
updates for ES websites.
We ensure all information
is up-to-date and easy
to read in support of
ES offices.

Marketing Support –
Our Marketing Manager works to:
• Research and assess
Enrollment Services initiatives,
communications and events.
• Make recommendations based
on his research to improve
recruitment, retention and
student success.
• Manage external outreach and
promotion of the University
through partnerships with
area schools.
THE RED TEAM
The Red Team, a select group of hospitality students out of the Conrad
N. Hilton College, represents the ES Office of Communications and
Marketing in all areas of enrollment services. These interns are
well-trained to assist fellow students as well as prospective Cougars.
