93 CONSTRUCTION—SUSTAINABLE DESIGN—ASSOCIATE OF SCIENCE DEGREE PROGRAM DESCRIPTION This program will provide students with an innovative and progressive foundation in Sustainable Design thinking and approaches, including resource efficiency, full capacity use, renewable energy, product life cycle analysis, closed-loop systems, multi-functionality, biomimicry, and appreciative inquiry. A knowledge of sustainable design principles and practices will support many professional career directions, including architecture, design/build contracting, construction management, Interior Design, environmental careers, community planning, product and industrial design, commercial merchandising, or business processes. A minimum of 60.0 semester units with a grade of “C” or better must be maintained in all degree-applicable units. Only courses numbered 1-199 may apply toward the Associate Degree.
