Catholic Community, Culture and Caring Pillar The mission of the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board, in partnership with the family and church, is to provide, in a responsible manner, a Catholic education which develops the spiritual, intellectual, aesthetic, emotional, social, and physical capabilities of each individual to live fully today and to meet the challenges of the future, thus enriching the community. Growth to full Christian maturity is a lifelong journey, best understood within the context of relationship and accomplished in community and in partnership with the parish, home and school. The spiritual journey to develop these capabilities is initiated in the home and parish and nourished in our Catholic schools as students begin Junior Kindergarten and proceed beyond graduation from secondary school and/or a transition to the community. Catholic schools are committed to educating the soul of the student and thus participate in the Church’s mission to proclaim the Gospel.
