Alison Leland
University of Houston
Alison Leland is the Director of the Bonner Leaders Program at the University of Houston and an
Instructor of Political Science in the Honors College. A graduate of Spelman College and the
Georgetown University Law Center, she spent fifteen years in investment banking prior to joining the
University in 2004. In addition to the Hobby Center for Public Policy, she is a board member of the
Houston Public Library Foundation, the Texas Defenders Service which provides representation to
death row inmates, the MD Anderson Center for Research on Minority Health and the Mickey Leland
Kibbutzim Internship Foundation.
