Regional Vice President, AT&T
As Regional Vice President of External Affairs for AT&T, Ms. Aanstoos directs community activities, state
and local lobbying efforts, and charitable giving in Houston and South Texas. In 31 years with AT&T, Ms.
Aanstoos has managed every aspect of public affairs, including investor relations, media, lobbying,
advertising and employee communications. She has held leadership roles with the company in Missouri,
Kansas and Texas.
Ms. Aanstoos currently serves as Chair-Elect of the Greater Houston American Red Cross. She sits on the
Technology Infrastructure Committee of the Greater Houston Partnership, the University of Houston
Hobby Center for Public Policy Advisory Board, and is a Director of Project GRAD and Communities in
Schools of Houston. A past Chairman of the Board for Leadership Houston, Ms. Aanstoos also is an
American Leadership Forum Senior Fellow, an inaugural member of the Center for Houston’s Future and
is a graduate of the FBI Citizen’s Academy.
She has been recognized for her leadership ability by the American Cancer Society as Volunteer of the
Year in Kansas, as Volunteer of the Year for the Career and Recovery Resources, Inc. in Houston, and
nationally with the Distinguished Leadership Award by the Community Leadership Association. Ms.
Aanstoos was also honored in 2006 as one of the Leadership Houston’s top 25 most distinguished
graduates in the organization’s 25 year history.
Ms. Aanstoos earned a Bachelor of Journalism degree with honors from The University of Texas in Austin
and graduated from the University of Houston’s Center for Executive Development program in the
School of Business.
She and her husband, Mark Yust, live in Missouri City with their son Jared.
