when you say hing is impossible Not “I’m Possible!” EVERY CHILD IS SPECIAL! YOU’RE INVITED TO JOIN US IN SPREADING THE MESSAGES OF INCLUSIVITY AND POSSIBILITY FOR ALL CHILDREN! Concerned about your child? Think there is an issue? Come learn how to navigate the system, how to get a diagnosis or get help. Please join us for a special event on Tuesday May 10th, 2016 as we provide the Knowledge, Tools and Strategies parents need to understand and advocate for their children during the critical and formative elementary school years. The focus of this informative and engaging evening is to bring parents, children and community partners together to discuss the visible and invisible uniqueness of every child. Our hope is to discuss inclusivity and support families, shifting the focus from facing the impossible to embracing the “I’m Possible!” Parents and community members will have the chance to hear from a variety of Guest Speakers representing local support agencies. Hear the story of one family’s commitment to getting their children the support and resources they needed to best ensure a successful school experience. Guests include: • Learning Disabilities Peel Region • Tourettes Canada Representatives • Kerry’s Place • Erin Oak Professionals • CAMH (Centre for Addiction and Mental Health) Representatives • Down Syndrome Awareness of Peel • And many more... All are welcome (adults and children) and light snacks will be provided. As part of this ProGrant event, St. Rita Students will attend a daytime presentation and hear from inspirational speaker, Talli Osborne. “Talli was born missing her arms and bones in her legs, but was raised with the belief that she could do anything she set her mind to, and this determined attitude is exactly how she lives her life.” Parents are welcome to attend. Please ask your child’s teacher for assembly times and sign in at the office upon arrival.
